Protein Powder Cost Comparison Tool
Compare any two protein powders side-by-side to see which has the lower protein cost. Uses listed data from 158 products across supported markets.
How Do I Compare Two Protein Powders?
Select your market and choose two products from the dropdown menus. Compare price per 100g protein, calories per 100g protein, and container prices. The product with the lower price per 100g protein is highlighted.
Container price can be misleading—two $40 tubs might contain vastly different amounts of actual protein. This tool reveals the true cost by comparing price per 100g of active protein.

How to Interpret the Results
Look at 'Price per 100g Protein' to compare the same protein amount. Lower means less money per gram of protein. Calories per 100g protein compares energy for that amount, not purity. Container price differences are not annual savings.
The comparison highlights the lower protein cost with a green checkmark. Differences are shown as Product 2 minus Product 1: positive means Product 2 is higher; negative means it is lower. Listed prices may change and do not include delivery.
Key Metrics Explained
- Price per 100g Protein: The true cost metric. Lower means you pay less for actual protein content.
- Calories per 100g Protein: Energy supplied alongside a fixed amount of protein. Lower means fewer calories for the same protein amount, not a higher quality or purity rating.
- Total Protein: How much protein is in the entire container.
- Container Price Difference: The difference between the listed tub prices. Tubs may contain different amounts of protein, so this is not a like-for-like savings estimate. Use the Daily Protein Cost Calculator for a budget based on your selected daily amount of protein from powder.
Why Price Per 100g Protein Matters
Protein powders vary widely in serving size, protein concentration, and container weight. A "cheaper" tub might actually cost more per gram of protein once you account for these differences.
For example, a $40 tub with 750g of protein costs $5.33 per 100g protein, while a $35 tub with only 500g of protein costs $7.00 per 100g protein—31% more expensive per unit.
